Obituary for Linda Lee Vander Pol

Linda Vander Pol, 70, passed away November 6, 2019 after a long battle with Lewy body dementia. Linda was born in Britt, IA to Elmer and Hannah Mae Meyer. She earned her teaching degree from Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, and went on to teach at DeMotte Christian School in DeMotte, Indiana. After a short time she moved to Washington where she met her husband, David. She resided in the Auburn area since 1989. Linda served the Lord her whole life. She was an active member of her church, a supportive wife to her husband of 40 years, a loving mother to her 3 boys, a beloved grandma to her 8 grandchildren, and a dear friend to many people. Linda spent her life loving and serving her Savior and those around her. She made sure her boys had a hot breakfast everyday, no matter how early their day started. She loved hiking and walking with her husband and friends, leading and participating in Bible Studies, and playing games with her family.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Meyer. She is survived by her mother, Hannah Mae Meyer of Britt, IA, husband David Vander Pol of Auburn, sons Henry (Lindsey) Vander Pol of Kent, John (Larissa) Vander Pol of Highland, IN, and Eric (Carla) Vander Pol of Auburn, brothers Larry (Barb) Meyer of Kenmore and Dale (Aileen) Meyer of Urbandale, IA, and sisters Marj (Archie) Nibbelink of Edgerton, MN and Jean (Bob) DeJong of Ripon, CA.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM, November 16, 2019 at New Hope Presbyterian Church, 19800 108th Ave SE Kent, WA 98055. Private interment to be held at Mountain View Cemetery, Auburn.
